James Irvin Schnarrs, “Jessie” or “Goat”, age 67, was born July 23, 1947 and passed away on July 21, 2015. A retired packer fixer with 33 years of service from Phillip Morris, he is survived by his wife of 39 years Connie Barden Schnarrs. He was a loving family man who remembered birthdays and anniversaries, had a great sense of humor and loved to pick, tease and help others. He was Santa to many. He was preceded in death by his parents Max and Ella Schnarrs of PA; brothers David and Joey Schnarrs and sisters Peach Cochran and Patty Schnarrs. He is survived by his sisters Kaye Gleason (Jerry) of Hopewell, VA, Jeanie Emigh (Bill) of Phillipsburg, PA, and Barbara Schulz (Frank) of Waterford, PA; brothers Frank Schnarrs (Cheri) of Olympia, WA, John Schnarrs (Snowflake) of Erie, PA, Charlie Schnarrs (Freda) of Midlothian, VA, Rick Schnarrs (Sally) of Northeast, PA, and Sam Schnarrs (Kathy) of Parkside, PA; stepsons Bobby Johnson of St. Albans, WV and Billy Johnson of Amelia, VA; son Eddie Schnarrs (Rosemary) of Highland Springs, VA and daughter Tina Hill of Newark, DE; grandchildren Tiffany J. Smith of Richmond, VA, Jonathan D. Jones of Manchester, TN, Jimmy Schnarrs of Highland Springs, VA, Tammy Muncy of Newark, DE and Jessica Boyd of Newark, DE; three great-grandchildren Sean David, A.J. and Vincent and a huge host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 25, at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. Interment to follow at Union Baptist Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Family requests that those attending the funeral dress casually.
