Loraine Farley

 Loraine Farley, 88, of Amelia formerly of Bluefied, W. VA.  died Saturday, July 4, 2015 in Amelia,VA. Born July 20, 1926 in McDowell County she was the daughter of the late Luther Faulkner and Laura Webb Faulkner.
She was a homemaker and member of Bluewell Church of God for 26 years. She loved feeding wildlife. Loraine was a godly woman who loved her family and community. She was such a guiding light and inspiration for so many people with her gentleness, kindness and generosity. She loved her gospel music and loved to praise and teach about the Lord. She had such a twinkle in her eyes and a spot of mischievousness that would warm a person’s soul. The Lord saw one of His most gentle servants so tired and weary that He called her home to stand by His side, His gentle angel. Our angel will live forever in our memories and in our hearts. Our memories will tide us over until we see her again standing beside the Lord to welcome us home.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John Farley; brothers Roy Faulkner, Ceaf Faulkner, Woodrow Faulkner and Eddie Faulkner; sisters, Pauline Groseclose, Marjorie Lambert and infant sister Bessie Faulkner.
Survivors include daughter, Joyce Lafferty (Michael) of Bluefield and son Allen Farley (Mary) of Amelia Courthouse, VA; sisters, Stella Hunt (Richard) of Greeneville, SC, Della Summers of Waynesboro, VA, Joyce Sheets of North Carolina; brother, Bill Faulkner of New Richmond, WV; grandchildren Chris Lafferty (Jodi) of Narrows, VA, Jason Lafferty (Crystal) of Roanoke, VA, Rhonda Sims (Johny) of Amelia Courthouse, VA, Amanda Matthews (David) of Bracey, VA, Scott Farley and Jeffrey Farley both of Amelia County Courthouse; one great grandchild and one great great grandchild.
Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. Martha Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
