Mason Alexander Barnes, age 22, of Amelia, tragically passed from this life on January 21, 2017. He is survived by his mother, Christina Newby Barnes of Amelia and father, Matthew Scott Barnes of Hopewell, brothers, Jaccob (Katie) Barnes, Trace Barnes, Brayden Barnes , Camden Tharpe all of Amelia, and Brandon Tharpe of Chesterfield, maternal grandparents, Hattie and Bobby Newby of Amelia, paternal grandparents, Jerry Barnes of Prince George, and Holly Barnes of Hopewell, paternal uncle Robert Barnes, maternal uncle John (Maria) Newby, Robert Newby, cousins, Megan Barnes, and Alexis Newby and his stepdad, Creston Tharpe and nephew Seamus Barnes. Funeral services 1PM on Friday January 27, 2017 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with private interment following.
