Charles Lafoon, Sr. Obituary

Charles Wesley Lafoon  Sr. went to be with his Lord after a long illness on Saturday, February 10th.  Pre-deceased by his first wife Brenda Carol Lafoon and his brother Mike Lafoon (Sharon) and survived by his current wife Marianne M Lafoon, children Chuck Lafoon (Amy), Keith Lafoon (Christina), Angela Cave, Brandon Finch.  He is also survived by 1 brother Butch Lafoon (Pam) and 1 sister Paula Nichols (Ty), 10 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild and many nieces and nephews. 
       Charles retired from Phillip Morris in 1998 after 32 years of service.  He was very active in youth sports within Amelia County for many years as a coach and director.  He worked closely with the Dixie Youth League and was very instrumental in bringing the public Dixie Youth League to the county.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.    He will always be loved and missed by many.  
   The family will be receiving friends at Hillsman-Hix funeral home on Monday night from 6 to 8 and services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday February 13th. Burial will follow in the Amelia Presbyterian Cemetery.
