Howard Flippin Obituary

Howard Donald Flippin, “Don”, of Mechanicsville, VA, passed away at home on September 10, 2017.  He fought a brave fight with cancer with his positive spirit along the way. His parents Donald Henry and Madaleine Flippin precede him in death and his beloved companion “Sassy”. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pam Smith Flippin, son Matthew and wife (Ashley), and daughter Sarah, brother Pat (Miuv), sister Debby Jones (Steve) of Johnson City Tenn. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.  After graduating from Steed State College he worked in Industrial Sales for 40 years.  His passions included golf, hunting, fishing, boating, and being with his friends and family. He was a loving and caring person who always offered a helping hand and volunteered to assist others.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at the Amelia Presbyterian Church, 16401 Dunn Street, Amelia Va. 23002  Visitation will be before the service: 10:00 A.M- 11:00 A.M.     The family will receive friends at “Granny’s “ House, 15700 Dunn Street, Amelia, Va. 23002, immediately following the committal service.  Donations to America Cancer Society.
