Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alfred Leo Worsham, who departed this world peacefully on November 29, 2024, at the age of 96. Alfred was born on November 12, 1928, and spent the majority of his life in Amelia Court House, Virginia. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Audrey Worsham, and a loving father to his son, Paul Worsham. Alfred dedicated his professional life to the manufacturing industry, where he served as a supervisor for the Apparel Equipment Company. His steadfast work ethic and commitment to excellence were hallmarks of his career, earning him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Beyond his professional pursuits, Alfred was an active and long-time parishioner of Good Samaritan Catholic Church, where he found community and solace. Alongside Audrey, he also operated a wholesale flower business, cultivating beauty and joy for others through their work. Together, they created a legacy of love and creativity that will be fondly remembered by all who knew them. Alfred is survived by his wife Audrey, his son Paul, and his grandson Nathan Worsham. He leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories that will forever resonate within the hearts of his family and friends. Alfred's life was a testament to the values of compassion, hard work, and community. As we reflect on his remarkable journey, let us honor his memory by carrying forward the love and kindness he shared with all. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 7, at Good Samaritan Catholic Church, for the family and friends to celebrate Alfred's life, inviting all to join in remembering a man whose spirit touched so many. In this time of sorrow, we take comfort in the memories of Alfred, a devoted husband, caring father, and steadfast friend. May he rest in peace. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents Luther Worsham and Emma Nolte Worsham. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amelia County Garden Club Memorial Garden Fund.
