Alva Craig "A.C" Boyles of Amelia passed from this life on Friday April 25, 2025. The eldest son of Craig and Alison Boyles, he was born in Farmville hospital on January 7, 1947. He grew up in Amelia County, graduated from Amelia High School in 1965, from Richmond Professional Institute in 1967, and from Kansas State College in 1970 with a degree in building design. Over the years he worked as a draftsman for the Virginia Department of Highways, Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company, and several architects and engineers in the Richmond area.
In 1977 he started a drafting business in Amelia County, drawing plans for clients from Goochland and Henrico, to Kenbridge and Clarksville.
He was a veteran of the Virginia Army National Guard and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hanging out with family and friends. He is pre deceased by his wife Leatha Boyles, and is survived by daughter Jorgee Boyles and brother Richard C. Boyles.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
