**Obituary for Anne Bowlin Roberts**
Anne Bowlin Roberts, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on June 11, 1944, Anne graced the world with her creative spirit and boundless kindness. Residing in Amelia Court House, Virginia, Anne created a warm and welcoming home, filled with love and laughter. She was the devoted wife of Willie Thomas Roberts, Jr. with whom she shared a profound partnership for 61 years. Together, they raised their son Willie and daughter Joyce Anne, who both carry her spirit and values into the world. Anne's love extended to her siblings-sisters Connie Wells, Cynthia O'Neal, Darleen Karpus, and her dear sister-in-law Mary Jane Bowlin -and her cherished grandchildren Chad, Lance, Levi, and Brock Shelton. Anne was preceded in death by her brother Stafford Bowlin, her sister JoAnn Roberts, her parents Charles Woodrow Bowlin and Chula Mae Jones Bowlin, and her stepmother Mary Lou Bowlin. She took immense joy in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother to Everly and Chase, nurturing family bonds that will be treasured for generations.
Throughout her life, Anne was known not only for her talents but also for her compassionate heart. She touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a lasting imprint of warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love. As we remember Anne, let us celebrate a life lived fully-a tapestry of beautiful memories woven through time.
We invite family and friends to join us for a public viewing to reflect on Anne's life at Tabernacle United Methodist Church on December 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, where we will gather to honor her remarkable journey and share stories that highlight the joy she brought into our lives. After the service, Anne will be laid to rest in Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery, located at 6100 Tabernacle Church Lane, Amelia Court House, VA 23002.
In this time of remembrance, let us come together to celebrate Anne's legacy, supporting one another in love and cherished memories. May her spirit shine brightly within us, guiding us as we continue to honor her life and the love she so generously shared.
