Annie Frances Adkins, age 87, of Ford, VA passed away on April 28, 2014.  She is survived by her husband Ellis, daughters Karen Simpson of Henrico and Connie Peck (Jerry) of Amelia; brother Ellis W. Baldwin of Grundy, VA; sisters Mary Davis of Henrico, Dolly Miller of Knoxville and Beulah Hosie of NY; grandchildren Amanda Simpson and Shannon VanFossen (Lucas); great-grandchildren Lucas Dylan VanFossen, Riley Elizabeth VanFossen and Brody Ellis VanFossen.  A Chapel service is set for Friday May 2 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, with burial to follow at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
