Arthur Hooper Freeman, age 62 of Meherrin, formerly of Amelia, passed away on November 24, 2017.  He is survived by his mother Alice Freeman of Clarksville, VA; sons James Frankllin Smith III of Las Vegas and Quincy Daniel Freeman of Chesterfield, VA; brother Carl Freeman of Savannah, GA; sisters Stacie Collins of Clarksville and Sherry Freeman of Savannah, GA; and two grandchildren.  Funeral service 1PM on Wednesday Nov. 29, at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery.  Visiting prior to the funeral beginning at 11AM.
