Aubrey Muncie Dodson born August 29, 1934 peacefully passed away on September 21, 2024, twenty-three days after a great 90th birthday. He was born and lived his entire 90 years in Chula, Virginia. He was born to Alexander Muncie Dodson and Syble Marguerite Wagner Dodson. 64 years ago Aubrey married his loving wife, Blanton Felts Dodson, they had three children, Doris (Shane), Dawna (Richard) and Andrew (Elizabeth) and three grandchildren Sarah (John), Shaun and Collin. Predeceased by his parents Muncie and Syble, older sister Ruth Russell, twin sister Audrey Utz, and nephew John Utz. Survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, sister Ramona Clopton, brother-in-law Chuck Utz (Bess), and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Aubrey served his country in the Army National Guard. He then enjoyed a full career at Polk Miller Products and A.H. Robins where he retired after 30 years. Aubrey took great pride in his family and in his home. He was known far and wide for not having a blade of grass out of place. Visitation will be at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court Street in Amelia, Virginia 23002 on September 28 from 11am to Noon. Funeral services will follow at Noon at same location. Interment will follow at Moore's Methodist Cemetery Route 360 East in Amelia, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Moores Church Cemetery Fund in care of David Felts, Jr., 11351 Reed Rock Road, Amelia, Virginia 23002.
