Barbara Lee Parsons, 78, of Cardiff, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 19, 2024, in Valley Center, California amongst family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her spouse James Paul DeVauld, Jr. ; parents , George Sr. and Kathryn Pelipesky, brothers, Ed, and Victor Pelipesky; sisters Anna Mae Sigurdson and Stephana White.  Barbara retired from the United States Treasury Department with 30 years of civil service and served in the U. S. Naval JAG office in Virginia Beach, Va., as well as the U. S. Naval Hospital , Corpus Christi, Texas as a civilian paralegal specialist.  Barbara is survived by her only son John Cameron Parsons II, stepdaughter Michelle Sauls; stepson Daniel DeVauld; grandchildren, Meghan, Matthew, Kyle, and Dustin; brothers George, Jim, Larry, and David Pelipesky; and an extended loving family.  The family will receive friends, 12:00-12:45 PM on Wednesday April 17, 2024 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia, Va.  A service will be conducted at 1:00PM at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery 10300 Pridesville Road Amelia, Va. 23002.
