Betty Lynn Cifers, age 59, of Amelia, passed away on October 7, 2012.  The wife of the late Reuben E. Cifers, she is survived by her son Jesse Whitlow of Amelia; daughters Julie Settle, Shelby Leslie and Michelle Martin all of Amelia and Angie Major of Powhatan; sisters Patricia Carlton and Carolyn Whitlow of Richmond and Jeanie Whitlow of Goochland; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 9, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia.  A church service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 10, at Sandy Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
