Betty P. Jenkins, age 88 of North Chesterfield, passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2022. She is survived by her husband Gillian H. "Gillie" Jenkins Sr.; Her 3 children, Nancy Reed (Husband Bruce Reed), Gillian "Gillie" Jenkins (Wife Jody Jenkins), Peggy Hemhauser (Husband Frederick Hemhauser); Her 4 grandchildren Kristin Porterfield (Husband Kevin Porterfield), Michelle Simpson (Husband Christopher Simpson), Karin Ryan (Husband Chris Ryan), Diana Hemhauser; Her 7 great grandchildren Alexis Knizatko (Husband Jonathan Knizatko), Jacob Simpson, Cameron Porterfield, Cullen Porterfield, Lila Porterfield, Connor Ryan and Lucas Simpson.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 with a private (family only)  burial to follow at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery .
