Betty Harper Strasburg, age 70, of Jetersville, Va., passed from this life on October 28, 2013.  She is survived by her sons, Michael James Strasburg, and Richard Wayne Strasburg, both  of Jetersville, her daughter, Carla Jean Horsley of Prince Edward County, Va., brothers, John Harper of Varina, and Wayne Harper of Highland Springs, her sister,Patsy Cornett of Highland Springs, and five grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held at 8PM on Thursday Oct. 31, 2013 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia.  The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 6PM.  In lieu of a graveside service a celebration of Betty's life will be held at her sons home Michael following the memorial service.
