IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billy Bob
Boyles
September 3, 1921 – March 5, 2015
Billy B. Boyles, age 93, entered into his heavenly home on March 5, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Pearl McMillian Boyles; his sister Sheila B. Stafford; brothers Craig and Deck. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Louise Mills Boyles; daughters Karen B. Arrington (John), Pamela B. Jones (Glenn) and one son, William Kelly Boyles; his brother James (Virginia) and sister Elizabeth Stone, both of Cumberland; grandchildren Jason Jones (Cameron), Justin Jones and Sara Arrington; one great-grandson Logan Samuel Jones and many nieces and nephews.
Billy was known for his height of 6'8'. Though it kept him from joining military services, he helped in the war effort by driving buses, taxis and carrying soldiers to their destinations, working on building camps and barracks.
After marriage, he began to farm, making a life and home for his family. Billy was a 30 year member of the Ruritans and a loyal member of Amelia Baptist Church for over 80 years, serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, director, choir member and Grounds committee member. He and Louise enjoyed motorcycle riding and traveling to the mountains. He was a loving, faithful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He served his Lord in every way, was a good neighbor, friend and a kind and gentle man.
