Billy Joe Hughes, age 84 of Jetersville, went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2019.  He is survived by his wife Cora; stepson Frank Cooke of Powhatan; grandchildren Jessica Cooke, Nathan Cooke and Joey Cooke; and siblings A.J Hughes of Chesterfield and Margie Dowdy of Henrico.  The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday March 21, 2019 at Jetersville Baptist Church, 6440 Amelia Springs Rd. in Jetersville, to be followed by funeral services beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the church.  Interment will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday March 22, 2019 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia with Military Honors.
