Carolyn Gills Ambrose, age 96 of Amelia County, Virginia, passed away on June 6, 2024. Carolyn was retired from the Virginia Employment Commision. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Chiappa, and her ex-husband Dixie Ambrose Jr. She is survived by her children, Dixie Hartless, Jean Martin (Wes), Arthur Ambrose (Wendy); six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Services will be held Friday June 14, at 2 pm at Hillsman-Hix funeral home.
