Carolyn Emeline Arrington, age 75 of Amelia, VA, entered her eternal home in Heaven on Thursday, June 12, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, William Woodrow Arrington and Sallie Everease (Maxey) Arrington, along with many special aunts and uncles. She is survived by numerous cousins, including two very special cousins with whom she lived on the family compound, David Worner (Tammy) and Dana Mullins (Austin, David and Raelynn). Carolyn graduated from Amelia High School in 1968 and attended Pan-American Business School in Richmond. She was employed by the Commonwealth of Virginia for 31 years until her retirement in August of 2021. Carolyn was an avid UVA fan and enjoyed watching Jeopardy!, camping, travel, music, reading, Sudoku, photography and genealogical research. She composed numerous books and documents concerning her parents and maternal ancestors. Her remains rest at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home in Amelia, Virginia, where the family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Funeral services will be held in the chapel at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Interment will follow at Rennie Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rennie Memorial Presbyterian Church or your favorite charity.
