Charles W. Chuck Abele, Sr. , age 77, of Amelia went home with the Lord on Friday October 28, 2011. He is survived by his wife of fifty four years Rose Abele, adoring children Gwendolyn Orfield of Midlothian, Charles W. Abele, Jr. (Vera) of Prince George, Regina Bickley (David), Maria Abele and Courtney McGill all of Amelia, Sisters, Virginia Pinola of Tampa, Fla., Jean McGinley of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Ester Abele of Forest Hills, N. Y., five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Well known in the community Mr. Abeles talent and pride as a contractor can be seen throughout Amelia County. Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday Nov. 1, 2011 12 Noon at Good Samaritan Catholic Church in Amelia with burial in Mattoax Cemetery. Arrangements by the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home of Amelia .
