Charles Smith Hutchinson, age 85, of Amelia, Va. passed from this life on October 10, 2023.  He is preceded in death by his parents Charles T. and Della Moorefield Hutchinson, his daughter Sandra Binford, and his grandson Reid Hutchinson. Smith was retired as President from Cliff Weil vending company after 40 years and was named vender of the year in Virginia three times and vendor of the year once in the USA.  He was a founding member of Crimestoppers in Richmond, a former member of the Amelia Volunteer Fire Department Co. 2, Past Master of Amelia Lodge 101, an avid golfer who played with Arnold Palmer and Reeves McBee on an occasion. He is survived by his wife Faye of 67 years, his son Robert (Malinda); grandchildren Heather Ramsey (Nathan), Ashley Noel (Travis) and Kara Hutchinson; and his great grandchildren Jackson, Levi, Brantley and Bailey.  Members of Masonic Lodge 101 will conduct services at 6PM on Thursday, October 12th at Tabernacle United Methodist Church with visitation to follow from 6:30-8:30PM. Funeral services will be held at Tabernacle United Methodist Church on Friday, October 13th at 11:00am with burial following in the church cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
