Charles E. Palmer, age 75, of Amelia, passed from this life on May 9, 2015.  He is survived by his son, Karmel Easter (Francis)of Amelia, daughter, Betsy Palmer of Suffolk, sisters, Frances Anne Lowery(Robert) of Roanoke, Katherine McMillion (Irvin) of Amelia and Nancy J. Walker of Quinton, Va., two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Charles was a retired truck driver.   A memorial service will be held at 11AM  on Saturday May 30, 2015 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral 16409 Court St. in Amelia.  Interment is private
