Charles Joseph Sobrito, Sr., age 102, passed from this life on Feb. 26, 2018.  He is preceded in death by his wife; Ruth, and is survived by his sons; Charles Jr. and Thomas both of Amelia, Steven of Richmond, and Michael of Chesterfield, his sister, Patsy Schultz of Myrtle Beach, S. C., nineteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.  Charles was a retired contractor, Fourth Degree K of C member, and an Army Veteran of WWII.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12noon on Friday March 2,  at Good Samaritan Catholic Church 13441 Patrick Henry Highway  in Amelia with burial following at 3PM at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Chester, Va. with military honors.   Visiting will be on Thursday from 6-8PM at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia. A Christian Wake service will be Thursday 7:30PM at the funeral home.
