Charles Robley Woolwine, Jr., age 90, of Amelia, Va. passed from this life on May 15, 2021.  He was born in Narrows, Va. September 3, 1930, and is survived by his wife of 67 years Laura Harmon Woolwine; his daughter Katherine Hunter of Amelia; his grandson Matthew Phelps; his granddaughter Stephanie Phelps, his great granddaughter Karleigh Phelps, his brother-in-law Crawford Harmon and his wife Elizabeth.  He is preceded in death by his son Charles Steven Woolwine, his parents Charles and Agnes Woolwine, and four brothers and three sisters.  He was a veteran of the USAF and served in Korea, and several other overseas and stateside assignments.  Upon retiring from the USAF he worked for English Construction Co. and Phillip Morris before moving to Amelia County in 1989.  The family will receive friends Wed. May 19, 2021 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia from 2-4PM.  Graveside services will be held at 3PM on Thursday May 20, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park in Chester.  Mr. Woolwine requested no flowers.
