Clara Mae Blankenship, age 85, of Burkeville, formerly of Amelia passed from this life on June 20, 2024. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Shreve in 2007, and her parents; Willie Maurice Hawkins and Annie Iowa Francis Hawkins, and is survived by her son; James Rice of Crewe, her brother William E. Hawkins of Amelia, and her sister; Sylvia Stallings of Amelia, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Saturday June 22, 2024 at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St in Amelia with burial following in Little Flock Baptist Cemetery in Amelia. The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service beginning at 12 Noon at the funeral home.
