Constance (Connie) Elaine Smith, age 83, of Amelia, passed from this life on May 15, 2015.  She is preceded in death by her husband Bernie and is survived by her son, Don Hicks of Amelia, her daughter Robin Overby of Richmond and her brother, Howard Young also of Richmond, two grandchildren, Chris (Candace) and Joe (Iva) Overby and three great grandchildren- Taylor, Allana, and Kingston, all of Chesterfield, a host of other relatives, among them a devoted niece and nephew, Ricky and Judy Walker of Amelia.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at Good Samaritan Catholic Church on Patrick Henry Highway in Amela with burial in Mattoax Cemetery.  Visiting at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court ST. in Amelia Monday 6-8PM.  A Christian wake service will be held on Monday evening at 7PM.  Contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Church P.
