David Lee Meadows, 81 of Chesterfield, passed away on January 26, 2024.  David is survived by his wife Carol, children Nicholas, Teresa (Jerry) Marshall, and Juanita Viens; grandchildren Kevin (Caitlin) Lee, Brian (Jennie) Lee.and his brother-in-law: David Pahl. David is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Juanita Meadows and sister; Susan Pahl.  Born in South Charleston, W. Va David was actively employed at Lowe's for over 15 years, and at Kroger for 11 years.  In addition, to those jobs he was in charge of a construction company that help build homes in the Woodlake community.  He was also a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the VFW as a result of having served for  four years in the US Air Force.   The service for Mr David Meadows will be held on Friday, February 2nd, at 12:00 Noon at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at the Virginia Veteran Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia Court House, VA. Memorial donations can be made in David's name to Wounded Warrior Project.
