David Jerome Swann, age 63, of Amelia, Va., formerly of Jackson, Ohio passed from this life on January 22, 2017.  He was born February 26, 1953 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Julius and Elizabeth Staten Swann and is survived by his wife, Janice, daughter, Hollie Swann of Va., and son Brandon Dailey of Ohio, sisters, Rebecca Rockwell, Brenda Quesenberry, Barbara Carroll and brother Brian Swann and several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  David is a graduate of Jackson High School Class of 71 and was a Jackson County Police Officer for three years before joining the US Army and having served there for 20 years.  After retiring he was employed by Defense General Supply for 14 years.  A Celebration of his life will be held at 3PM on Friday January 27, 2017 at Christ Family Outreach 12300 Five Forks Road in Amelia with a Celebration to follow at the Amelia Country Club in Amelia.  A private interment will be held at a later date.
