Dolly Lloyd Barden, age 82, of Powhatan, passed away on April 15, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert L. Barden; son Ronald Barden Sr. (Faith) of Powhatan; daughters Louise Griles (David) of Amelia, Elsie Borum (Jimmy) of Rice, and Faye Campbell (Ralph) of Amelia; sisters Ernestine Wagner of Amelia and Betty Slater of Lanexa; brothers Andrew Lloyd of Victoria and Eugene Lloyd of Clarksville; grandchildren, George Borum, Amanda Emerson, Sherry Midkiff, Sam Barden, Tonya Purington, and Carmen Griles, great grandchildren, Taylor Emerson, Angela Emerson, Ashley Emerson, Summer Barden, Christian Midkiff, Ryan Barden, Claire Faith Emerson, Hannah Purington, Brendan Borum, Patrick Purington, Tesla Purington, and Douglas Purington, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by siblings Thomas Lloyd, Samuel Lloyd, Junius Lloyd and Eunice Mary Gough. Visitation on Friday from 6:30-8:30 pm at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Salem United Methodist Cemetery.
