Sayers, Dorothy Reynolds, 95, of Amelia, went to be with Jesus on May 28, 2013.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Carl Sayers.  She is survived by three daughters, Jacqueline Craddock of Chesterfield, Lucille Gregory of Powhatan and Sue Brock of Culpepper, VA; four sons, Elmer Sayers of Amelia, Thomas Sayers (Susan) of Linden, VA, John Sayers of Amelia and James Sayers (Betty) of Culpepper, VA; also she was Grammy to 17 grandchildren and GiGi to 25 great-grandchildren.  She brought joy to every life she touched.  She was the best cook ever, and her recipes will be carried on down through the generations.  She loved to read, especially her Bible, and we know Heaven will be a better place with her there.  Her family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, where the funeral will be take place on Friday May 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.  with burial to follow in the Church of God Cemetery in Amelia, VA.
