Dreama Jones of Amelia passed away peacefully at her home on August 30, 2016.  She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years James A. Jones; her children, Kimberly N. McCall and her husband, Jeffrey and John David Newsome; her grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Harris and her husband Clyde, Kindell Burton-Newsome and her partner Victoria, and James Michael McCall; and 6 wonderful great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Bernice J. and Raymond F. Hicks.  Dreama graduated from Hermitage High school and then completed her education at Smithfield Massey Business College. She worked many years in Amelia for the Commonwealth Attorney's Office and then in Richmond with Diamond HealthCare.  She was married to James A. Jones on March 4, 2006 and they enjoyed 10 wonderful years of marriage. They traveled the country and then the world together. Winters were spent in Florida and many weeks at Atlantic Beach. She loved the beach, mountains, and camping.  Dreama loved singing and sang with the Keynotes Alumni Group of Hermitage High School and then the choir at Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a long time member. She served several years as the president of the United Methodist Women.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, September 2, 2016, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 6100 Tabernacle Church Lane, Amelia Court House, VA with a reception to follow.  In Dreama's honor and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Amelia Volunteer Rescue Squad and Gentiva Hospice.
