Dudley van Zandt "Bo" deKrafft, age 96 of Amelia, passed from this life at home on August 10, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Charlotte Chapin deKrafft. He is survived by his daughter Zandti deKrafft Easter (Randy), granddaughter Nicole Easter Munden (Justin) of Amelia, great-grandchildren Ellis and Shepard Munden, and his dearest friend Pam Greene. Working in the chemical industry, Bo spent years working in Kenbridge, Petersburg and Blackstone, and also took part in the Richmond Infantry Blues. As a mason, Bo spent 67 years as a member of the lodge and he volunteered as a pollworker for each election in Amelia. Bo loved and served his greater community of Amelia, VA across generations. He loved memories of his childhood days in Marlinton, WV and his beloved mountains, as well as time at the ocean. Bo truly loved and was at peace with everyone he knew, and embodied a heart full of compassion for all humanity, animals and life. Indeed he was and is a precious and rare soul to those close to him. Forever and beyond. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 14, at Amelia Presbyterian Cemetery. In leiu of flowers the family has asked for donations to the Amelia Animal Shelter, 16565 Five Forks Rd., Amelia, VA 23002. Friends may join the family at the home of Zandti Easter following the graveside service at 9661 S. Amelia, Avenue in Amelia.
