Durant Davis Sr., age 89, of Amelia, passed away on April 19, 2017.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years Shirley, sons Durant Davis Jr. of Amelia, Robert W. Davis of Amelia, David John Davis of Chesterfield; daughters Viva Lee McKee of Amelia, Zelma Marie Wolfe of Amelia, and Tammy Lynn Davis of Richmond; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends on Sunday April 23 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. A graveside service is set for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 24 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
