Jean Kidd Lloyd, 87, of Blackstone, VA passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Amelia, VA on 3-21-32 to the late Henry and Hazel Kidd.  She graduated from Amelia High School and Smithdale Massey Business School and was a bookkeeper for JA Walder Construction in Richmond Virginia prior to her retirement.  "Jeanie" was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Joseph B. Lloyd, and is survived by her son, Michael Lloyd, granddaughter Krista Midkiff (Franklin), grandson Austin Lloyd of Blackstone Virginia, sister Norma Rae Kidd White (Joseph), of Oxford NC, and nephews Benji White (Nadine), Greg White, (Pam), and Joey White, all of North Carolina.         Services will be held Friday, January 25, 2019, in the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home Chapel, 16409 Court St. in Amelia at 2:00 pm with visitation prior at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Amelia.
