Edward, "E.G." or "Eddie Glenn Barnard, 61, of Amelia parted from this life on August 20, 2013.  He is survived by his wife Joyce Barnard; his daughters Stephanie Adkins and Stephanie Newcomb of Amelia; his six grandchildren, Leann, Kasey, Thomas, Kaylan, Dylan and Emma; his mother Jean Barnard; brother Larry Barnard, and sister, Sandra Wright all of Amelia.  He is preceded in death by his father, Edward G. Barnard, Sr. and his brother Milton E. Barnard. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.  Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, VA.  The family will accept guests at his home preceding services.
