Elinor Owens Hill, age 82, a longtime resident of Crewe, went to be with the Lord  on Sunday Dec. 13, 2015.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, and is survived by her son, Richard David Hill (Cheryl) of Keysville, her daughter, Terry Hill (Kenneth) Harver of Amelia, sister, Mary Ware (Nelson) Hunt of Stuart, Va., grandsons,  Wil Harver, Dustin and Daniel Hill, granddaughters, Lesha Cawley and Shelly Epperson: great grandchildren, Kayla, Rylee, Lilah, Wesley, Luke and Emerie; and in-laws, nieces and nephews.  Originally from Stuart, Elinor Ray attended Averette Women's College in Danville, then worked as a legal secretary in Richmond.  There she met and married Richard Hill and moved to Crewe where they raised their family.  She is a long time member of Crewe Baptist Church.  She loved her family, friends, music, dancing and art.   Funeral services Wed. 1:00PM at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial following in Little Flock Primitive Baptist Cemetery.  Visiting at the funeral home Tues from 6-8PM.
