Elizabeth Bennett Goolsby, formerly of Dinwiddie County, passed away October 11, 2017 following a brief illness. Born in Decherd, TN October 10, 1920 she was preceded in death by her parents Alexander Garland Bennett and Vera Blanton Bennett; her sisters, Alvern Haskins, Willie MacMaster, and Oweda Graney; and her husband, Charles Edwin Goolsby, Sr.  She is survived by her children, Charles Edwin Goolsby, Jr. (Mary), Kevin Bennett Goolsby, and Karen Elizabeth Wyatt (Darrell), 5 grandchildren, and 9 greatgrandchildren. A private ceremony will be performed at Arlington National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband of 49 years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to At Home Care Hospice.   The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dwayne Ross and Jamie Vaeth for their acts of kindness during the decline and departure of our loving Mother.
