Ella G. Goodwin, age 88, of Amelia, passed from this life on Sept. 29, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Henry Goodwin, and her son Garland and sister Virginia Lawrence. She is survived by her son, Avery Goodwin and friend Lucy White of Chester, daughter, Judy Chuck Koch of Midlothian, sister, Margaret Poore of Amelia, three grandchildren, Dawn Brian Milton, Sarah Goodwin, and Ashley Marshall Woods. She was longtime member of Piedmont Baptist Church, a longtime employee of Levi Strauss and retired from GBC in Amelia and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grand mother. Funeral Services Sat 11AM at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial in Union Baptist Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home 6-8PM on Friday.
