Louise Osborne Spiers, age 86, passed from this life on February 15, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Earling Spiers, her parents James Earl Osborne and Elsie Farrington Osborne. She is survived by her children Coleman O'Brian Spiers of Blackstone, Peggy Lee Lawhorne and Phoebe Ann Spiers, both of Amelia and Charles Grant Spiers of Powhatan; brother Thomas Osborne of Powhatan; grandchildren Alissa Lawhorne and Erika Lawhorne, both of Amelia, and one great-grandchild Cole Matthew Winchester, along with many loved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday February 24, at Graceland Baptist Church, 975 Dorset Rd. in Powhatan, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visiting on Friday February 23 from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia. Memorial contributions may be made to the Graceland Baptist Church Building Fund.
