Ernest Handschumacher, 64 of Jetersville Va, passed away on June 30, 2025. Ernie is survived by Daughters - Crystal (DJ)Messer, Terri (Travis) Handschumacher, and Charlotte Handschumacher-Ramos, His two Brothers - Larry (Cathy) Handschumacher, and Ricky Bragg, his two Sister - Barbara (Allen) Bell, Nancy (Roy) Welch. As well as 6 Grandchildren and a Great-Grandchild. Ernie is preceded in death by Wife - Mary Handschumacher, Parents - Gerald Handschumacher, Elizabeth (Mae) Bragg, and George Bragg, His Brother - Gerald (Buggy) Handschumacher, and his three Sisters - Virginia (Sis) Davis, Eva (Janie) Bean, and Patricia Gregory. Ernie was a down to earth family man who enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed working on anything from vehicles to Machinery to computers, he even won a metal trades competition in high schools and was featured in the Wv state new paper. His love of cars extended watching racing every Sunday and was even lucky enough meet his favorite driver Richard Petty. The service for Mr. Ernest Handschumacher will be held on Saturday, July 5,2025 at 12:00 PM at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home.Visitation: Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home.
