Etta Odessa Warden, age 78, of Amelia, went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2021.  She is preceded in death by her husband; Claude A. Warden, Sr. and her parents; James C. and Charlotte Hall.  Odessa is survived by her sons; Claude A. Warden, Jr. (Becky) of Amelia and Clyde Warden of Jetersville and her daughter; Judy Gibson of Amelia, nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and her sister Ilene Mills of Farmville.  Odessa was a life long member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church, an active member of the Amelia Emergency Squad, member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Rescue Squad, and a dedicated caregiver to several people in the Amelia Community.  Funeral services will be held Monday 2:00 PM at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial following at Little Flock Baptist Cemetery.  Visiting Sunday from 6:00-8:00PM at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home.
