Faye Pryor Hutchinson, age 87, of Amelia, VA. passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Born July 23, 1938 to the late Harland "Huck" Pryor and Gertrude Arrington Pryor. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Smith Hutchinson of 67 years; her daughter, Sandra Faye Binford; and her grandson, Charles Reid Hutchinson. Faye is survived by her son, Charles Robert Hutchinson (Malinda); her son-in-law, Steve Binford (Michelle); her granddaughters, Heather Ramsey (Nathan), Ashley Noel (Travis), and Kara Hutchinson; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Jackson Noel, Levi Ramsey, Brantley Noel, and Bailey Ramsey. Born in Bedford, Virginia, Faye later moved to Richmond, where she grew up and met the love of her life, Charles, during a childhood game of hide-and-seek behind a bush, a story treasured by her family for years. Faye was known for her beautiful paintings, elegant flower arrangements, and her gift for making everyone she met feel loved and welcomed. She had a caring spirit and was a mother and grandmother figure to many throughout her life. She loved spending time at Lake Gaston with family and friends, making lifelong memories during summers at the lake and gatherings hosted on her back patio. Those moments of laughter, conversation, and togetherness meant the world to her. Her kindness, creativity, strength, and unconditional love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Visitation will be held at Tabernacle United Methodist Church on Friday May 22, from10-11:00 a.m., to be followed by Funeral services at 11:00a.m. with burial following in the church cemetery.
