Florence Harrison, age 60, of Amelia, passed from this life on October 5, 2010. She is survived by her husband David M. Harrison; daughters Donna Wright of Richmond, Hilda Knight of King William and Joanne Miller of Richmond; sisters Mary Poe of Powhatan and Edna Whitney of Charlottesville; brothers Moses Collier of Mechanicsville, Paul Collier of Louisa and Franklin Staton of Charlottesville; and eight grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday October 7, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home, 16409 Court St. in Amelia, with a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
