Fred Stephen Davis, Jr. , age 79, of Amelia passed from this life on Dec. 21, 2011. He is survived by his wife Sherron, son, Fred Stephen Davis, III of Amelia, daughters, Debbie Diane Deskins of Tazewell, Loretta Darlene Selz of Chesterfield, and Dorothy Denise Garza,of Amelia, Laura Wood, Donna Pridemoore, both of Crewe, Shane Lewis, of North Carolina, 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Delora C. Davis, his sisters, Carolyn Weaver, Loretta Davis and brother Paige Davis and John Gordon Davis. Funeral services 11AM on Saturday at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home 16409 Court St. in Amelia with burial following in the Amelia Presbyterian Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home 2-4 and 6-8PM on Friday. Contributions may be made to the Amelia Rescue Squad or the Amelia Fire Dept.
