Frederick Melvin Boyd, age 94, passed from this life on February 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise Smith Boyd and daughter Frances Dale Boyd. He is survived by his sister, Doris Boyd Bates (Burkeville, VA) along with daughter Nancy Boyd-Mattern, son-in-law Robin Mattern, and granddaughter Rebecca Mattern (Reston, VA.) There will be visitation on Tuesday, March 5 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 6 at 11:00am at the Hillsman-Hix Funeral Home (16409 Court St., Amelia Court House, VA) with interment following in the Amelia Presbyterian Cemetery.
