George W. Hastings, age 71, of Amelia, passed from this life on May 16, 2013.  He is survived by his wife, Joyce, sons, Danny Ray Hastings and George Christopher Hastings both of Amelia, and Jeffrey Walker Hastings of Norfolk, his mother Hattie Hastings of Amelia, sisters, Ardean Webb of Crewe, and Kaye Bryant of Amelia, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Funeral services 11AM Tuesday May 21, at Love Covenant Fellowship Church 17897 W. Pridesville Rd. in Amelia with burial following at St. John's United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Visiting at the church Monday evening from 7-9PM. Contributions may be made to the Amelia Chapter of the Relay for Life.
