George H. Osborne, born on December 13, 1945, passed away following a tragic car accident on July 3, 2026. George was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will be remembered forever. A lifelong resident of Burkeville, Virginia, George loved spending time fishing, where he found peace and happiness. He was also a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, faithfully cheering on his favorite team every season.

Above all else, George loved his family deeply. His greatest joy was spending time with those he loved, and he took great pride in his children and grandchildren.

George is survived by his loving children, daughter Shawn Martin (Marshall) and son William Osborne (Tracey); his siblings, Mack Osborne (Joyce), Grace Long, and Earl Osborne; his grandchildren, Christopher Hines, Matthew McMillian (Morgan), Colby Osborne (Raven), and Samantha Osborne; and his great-granddaughter, Kylie McMillian, who will forever carry his love and memory in their hearts.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley Osborne; his son, Kevin Osborne; and his brothers, Johnny, Charlie, and Billy Osborne. While he missed them dearly throughout his life, those who loved him find comfort in knowing they are together once again.

George's legacy is one of love, devotion, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.

Though his life ended far too soon in tragic circumstances, the impact George made on those around him will never be forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and forever loved.
