George Murry Shields, 73, of Moseley, VA, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, following a prolonged struggle with dementia. Born December 7, 1952, in Blackstone, VA, to George and Martha Louise Shields, he lived a life marked by dedication and service. He proudly served his country for 25 years with unwavering commitment in the Air National Guard. For 49 years, George shared a loving marriage with his devoted wife, Jennifer (Sue). He was a cherished father to Rebecca and Michael (Angela) and a proud grandfather to Alex and Corbin. Known for his quick wit, strong work ethic, and infectious sense of humor, he left a lasting impression on all who knew him. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at The Pearl at Watkins Centre and A Touch of Grace Hospice for their unwavering devotion and compassionate care during his final days. To honor George's memory, the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
