G.Gregory Hall, Jr. departed this life on June 20,2020. He was born on September 12, 1937 in Anderson, S.C. He graduated from Richmond Academy, Emory University (BA) and the University of Georgia (M.A., PhD.). He taught English at Clemson University and others before retiring from Virginia State University in 2009. He also was an adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University. He was a faculty member in the Osher program at the University of Richmond, LLI in Midlothian and the Shepherd Center in Chester,VA. teaching film and literature. He leaves his wife, Gaye; their son, Greg III, daughters Valerie Jeffries (John) and Cynthia Dobbs (Donald), six grandchildren and one great-grandbaby to cherish his memory. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Christ Episcopal Church, Amelia VA.
