Gladys Irene Brown, age 83, of Amelia, passed from this life on Sept. 12, 2010. She is preceded in death by her husband, Graham Robert Brown, and is survived by sons, John R. of Indiana, Jackie of Salem, Va, Kenny of Indiana, Danny of Amelia, daughters, Ruth Anne Barkley of N. Y., Barbara Rice of Tennessee, Patsy Brewster of W. Va., Debbie Thomas of N. Y., Katherine Atkins of Amelia, Sheila Osborne of Dinwiddie, Shelby Brown of W. Va., Rebecca Myers of Amelia, Melissa Brown of Amelia, and Tammy Tucker of Cartersville, Va. Rhonda Brown of Amelia, seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services 1:45PM on Wednesday Sept. 15, 2010 at Sandy Creek Baptist Church with burial following in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
